The animal populace consists of Crocodile, Gaur, Grizzled Gigantic Squirrel, Leopard, Slender Loris, Spotted Deer, Star Tortoise, Tiger, Tufted Grey Langur, Wild Elephant, and several birds.

#7 Mattupetty dam:

Mattupetty Dam located 13 km off Munnar at 1700m above the sea level and its close to the Anamudi Peak. Mattupetty dam is concrete gravity dam and its constructed in between 1949 to 1953. Here you can enjoy the different type of boating facilities like speed boating, pedal boat, rowboat, motorboat. Also, vegetarian restaurant, located nearby the dam, that serves scrumptious dishes and refreshing beverages.
